TEAM PROJECT, SEMESTER LONG ANIMATION STUDIO
Responsible for: Environment Art, Lookdev, Lighting, Cinematography, Compositing
At Carnegie Mellon University's Entertainment Technology Center, I worked on a semester long animation project creating a short animated adaption of the Chinese story "High Mountain and Flowing Water".
The story is about a zither (a stringed instrument) master, who played music inspired by lofty mountains and flowing water; broke his strings after the mountain recluse who knew the tune of his heart passed away. The project was created by a team of six, and the aim was to bring the Chinese ink style painting aesthetic into the team's own art style and create an authentic world using Unreal engine for production and rendering.
Tools Used: Maya, Blender, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, ZBrush, Premiere Pro, After Effects.
